Crash in Clayton leaves vehicle on its top; Driver, passenger run from scene, police say

CLAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:55 p.m.: The driver and a passenger ran from the vehicle accident on Dog Leg Road near North Main Street, Clayton police said.

Police aren't sure yet what led to the crash or why the people ran. The investigation is continuing.

A section of Dog Leg Road remains closed, from the crash site to North Main Street, until further notice.

INITIAL REPORT

At least one person reportedly is injured in a crash on Dog Leg Road near North Main Street that left the vehicle in a creek bed on its top.

The driver reportedly ran from the accident, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

The vehicle is on its top in a creek bed not far from the Stillwater River in the accident reported about 4 p.m.
