UNION CITY, Ohio — UCM Residential Services has seen an outbreak this week at its Union City, Ohio, facility, according to state numbers issued by the Ohio Department of Health.
This week, the facility has seen 26 cases. That number includes 24 residents and two staffers. During the entire period of the ongoing pandemic, which began in March, the facility has reported 41 cases.
According to its website, UCM Residential Services is an intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
UCM Residential Services is licensed by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and provides quality residential services to 43 individuals in a home-like environment that promotes independence, personal choice, and self determination.
