Lines several cars deep for $2.36 a gallon gas at Tipp City BP

TIPP CITY — The lines were several cars deep Monday night at BP on West Main Street in Tipp City as motorists waited for $2.36 a gallon regular unleaded at the pumps.

Monday’s average price in the Dayton region was about $2.58 per gallon, 6.6 cents higher than this time last week but less than the $2.79 on this day last year.

>> Gas prices likely to rise following drone strikes, experts say

Gas prices like the Tipp City BP station’s aren’t likely to be seen again any time soon after drone strikes on two major oil facilities in Saudi Arabia cut production.

Motorists should expect to see prices slowly rise between 10 and 25 cents per gallon over the next week to two weeks, GasBuddy analyst Allison Mac said.
