Skies will clear out Friday night and give you a great opportunity to look for the International Space Station! The ISS is expected to flyby around 8:13 p.m.
This evening, head outside and look to the south/southwestern sky to watch it rise and travel across the sky. It will drop below the horizon in the east/northeastern sky. The ISS will be about 46° above the horizon. This isn’t very high so you will want to make sure you have a good view of the horizon without trees or buildings in your way. It will be visible for about six minutes.
>>Cooler morning with sunshine returning in the afternoon, expect a dry weekend ahead
The International Space Station looks like a very bright star or airplane moving across the sky expect there won’t be any blinking lights.
Sunday night, it will be clear again and the ISS will flyover around 8:17 p.m. It will appear in the western sky and be visible for about four minutes. On Sunday, it will get a little higher in the sky reaching 55° above the horizon.
