Mother Nature looks to bring warmer than average temperatures during the first half of April, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Jesse Maag.
On April 1, Dayton averages high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. So, we can expect temperatures leaning into the 60-70 degree range for the majority of the first half. The second half shows signs of more seasonable conditions, if not dipping cooler than average temperatures.

However, with temperatures typically climbing to the mid to upper 60s by the end of the month, “cooler than normal” will likely translate to near 60 degrees for a high temperature on those cooler days.
Expected rainfall looks to be fairly close to normal, but leaning toward an excess. This appears to be consistent for the majority of the month aside from a brief dry start on the 1st through the 5th. We typically see around 4″ of rain in the month of April.
