Browns acquire linebacker from Atlanta Falcons

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a trade.

The Browns will receive linebacker Deion Jones and a 2024 seventh round draft pick while the Falcons get a 2024 sixth round pick.

Jones is at 6-1 linebacker and in his seventh season out of LSU and picked in the second round back in 2016.

He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2017.

Last year, Jones started in all 16 games, recorded 137 tackles, defended six passes and forced one fumble.

This season, he was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury on September 1 and is eligible to be designated to return to practice.
