‘They want to do business, I want to do business,’ Bengals QB Joe Burrow on contract talks

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow openly talked about his contract situation Tuesday afternoon.

He is entering the last year of his rookie contract and fans want to know if he’s interested in signing a long-term deal.

During a news conference Tuesday, Burrow kept it vague but said it’s something he’s working on.

“You know, I’m involved that’s in the works,” he said. “That’s not really something I like to play out in the media. I think they want to do business, I want to do business but that’s something I want to keep between us.”

Burrow and the Bengals participated in the second day of voluntary workouts on Tuesday as a full squad in the team’s indoor practice facility.

The Bengals begin the 2023 regular season playing the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland on September 10.
