A gas line was struck in the 200 block of K Street on the University of Dayton campus.
Dayton firefighters and UD police responded to the scene at approximately 10:45 a.m.
A contractor accidentally struck the gas line in front of a home where work is being done, according to an official at the scene.
Vectren responded and shut off the gas feed. There were no reports of evacuations.
