Swift and Vernon collaborated virtually on “Exile” for the Disney+ documentary concert film “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions,” Variety reported.

Vernon, singing at OVO Arena in Wembley, began the first few verses of “Exile.” That is when Swift walked on stage to join in, sending the crowd into a frenzy, Rolling Stone reported.

The duo was also accompanied on stage by the National’s Aaron Dessner as they performed the track, according to the magazine.

Swift and Vernon collaborated on the title track from “Evermore” in 2020, but did not meet in person, according to Variety. When Swift accepted her award for album of the year at the 2021 Grammys, she thanked Vernon for his help, saying, “I’m so excited to meet you someday.”

Swift’s surprise appearance comes nearly a week after she released “Midnights,” her 10th studio album, on Oct. 21. The album made history by breaking the Spotify record for the most-streamed album in a single day, Variety reported.

Swift reacted with a tweet, saying, “How did I get this lucky, having you guys out here doing something this mind-blowing?! Like what even just happened??!?!”
