The teens, who were attending a party for a 17-year-old girl, were shot at about 9:45 p.m. PDT at a rented house in North Oakland, the East Bay Times reported.

“Officers attempted life-saving measures on two victims, but unfortunately they succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” Officer Darryl Rodgers of the Oakland Police Department told the San Francisco Chronicle.

The two teenagers who died were 15 and 17, the Times reported. Their names were being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to the newspaper.

Two other teen boys, ages 15 and 16, were found outside of the house and taken to an area hospital, the Times reported. They are expected to live. Police said that all the victims knew each other and some of them may be related.

Two other victims were rushed to an area hospital, Rodgers said. Their conditions were unclear as of Sunday morning, the newspaper reported.

No arrests have been announced.

Several dozen teens were at the party when shots rang out, police said. A motive remains unclear.

The shooting comes three days after another incident left six people critically wounded outside the King Estates education campus in East Oakland.
