BROWN COUNTY — Tuesday, another train derailed in Ohio, shutting down a road in Brown County.
Officials with Eastern Joint Fire and EMS officials, a train transporting 390 tons of gravel derailed in Sardinia, according to our news partners at WCPO.

The incident involved ten cars going off the tracks, two of which flipped over. Fire captain Levin Troutman described the moments leading up to the derailment.

“They were running ten miles per hour and then all of a sudden they went down to two, and that’s when he realized the engineer realized well something is going on why did I just slow down for no reason and he realized the trains went off the tracks,” said Troutman. “We know that it rained a lot this morning, so I don’t know if that has a factor in it or not, I’m sure I know their whole team is coming to do a whole investigation on it.”
Crews will have Corboy Road shut down most of today as they work at the scene.
According to Troutman, the crew on the train intended to fix parts of the railroad when the derailment happened.
There were no reported injuries, and the incident occurred on the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad (CCET)
