BUTLER COUNTY — The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be holding an OVI checkpoint in Butler County tonight.

It will take place from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. on State Route 73 near milepost 17 in Lemon Township, an OHSP spokesperson said.
The checkpoint is held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and deadly crashes.
Troopers will be working in conjunction with the Butler County OVI Task Force, Middletown Police Department, and Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grants with the purpose to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
