COLUMBUS — The Ohio Wildlife Council has announced the dates for the 2023-24 deer season.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Deer archery- September 30 until February 2024
  • Youth deer gun- November 18-19
  • Deer gun- November 27-December 3; December 16-17

Bag limits have decreased by two in Butler County for this year, the Ohio Wildlife Council said.

As in years past, only one antlered deer may be harvested.

Turkey hunting for this fall will also take place from October 14 until November 12.
