CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Animal CARE is setting up to host a Foster-to-Adopt slumber party this weekend.
For the first time in Cincinnati Animal CARE history, potential adopters will be able to take a dog home for the weekend.

The event is to help possible dog parents see how things go, according to a release from the shelter.
“Foster-to-adopt is one of the most requested features at the shelter,” said Ray Anderson, Community Engagement Manager. “With everything working a little bit differently right now, this is a perfect opportunity for us to get these dogs a much-needed break and give adopters some extra time to make the big decision that is pet ownership!”
If participants fall in love with their new furry friends, they can pay $10 in adoption fees the following Monday or Tuesday.
The shelter says this will give the pups a break from the temporary wire cages they have been living out of.
