Self-driving cars enter the market

New, self-driving cars are now on the market.

NewsCenter 7’s consumer reporter Rachel Murray was behind the wheel this week of a Tesla Model S 90D complete with an auto-pilot or self-driving function for highway driving.

You are still behind the wheel but you do not have to touch the steering wheel, accelerate or break.

The technology allows the driver to take over if something happens — like a child running out into the street.

Murray will have more on this new trend in automotive today on WHIO-TV, and she spoke with the local Ohio Highway Patrol about safety concerns over the new technology.
