The Greater Dayton RTA is offering free personal safety and health emergency preparedness classes today.

The classes — in partnership with Dayton police — are free and open to the public.

The personal safety classes will teach participants avoidance tactics, with one class specifically geared toward women.

The health emergency class will teach participants about warning signs of stroke, heart attack and seizures, and how to care for someone in those situations. Each course is one hour long and will be offered in the RTA board room at Wright Stop Plaza.

Participants must register to attend the class at www.iriderta.org/safety.

Participants may sign up for more than one course.

Classes will be offered until 1 p.m.
