One person has died in the crash from this afternoon in Preble County. The crash victim died of his injuries today at Miami Valley Hospital.
The crash victim’s name and age were not available pending notification of his family, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
UPDATE @ 6 p.m.
A pickup truck driver ran a stop sign this afternoon and T-boned a car, said Sgt. Jeff Kramer of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Dayton Post.
The crash reported around 12:30 p.m. sent three people to the hospital, two with critical injuries. The pickup truck slammed into the car headed west on Lexington Salem Road as it was making a left turn onto South Preble County Line Road. The driver and passenger in the car were taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries described as critical. The driver of the pickup also was taken to a local hospital. The crash victims names, ages, hometowns and conditions were not released, and the crash remains under investigation.
The crash happened under bright and sunny conditions, exactly the type troopers hope can be avoided this holiday weekend.
“People really need to pay a lot of attention, drive with extra caution.” Kramer said. “There’s going to be a lot of motorcyclists out, there’s going to be a lot of people out. We’re going to be firm and enforce the law, and the reason we do that is to … make sure people are driving properly.”

Two adults were removed from one crumpled vehicle and flown by to Miami Valley Hospital by two separate Careflight helicopters. They are considered to be in critical condition.
The driver of a pickup truck was removed by medic, condition unknown. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
UPDATE @ 1:10 p.m.
Two medical helicopters have landed near North Preble County Line Road.
A deputy said the crash involves two-vehicles and three people.
Troopers and deputies responded to the scene along with West Alexandria fire, Lewisburg fire, and Perry Twp. police.
FIRST REPORT
Two medical helicopters are responding to a reported serious crash in Preble County.
Crews were dispatched to the area of Lexington Salem Road at North Preble County Line with initial reports indicating a double entrapment.
