Man in custody after 3-county-long chase ends in Beavercreek

A man is in custody after he led police on a pursuit through three counties early Saturday morning. The pursuit began in Clearcreek Township in Warren County and ended in Beavercreek near Kemp and Gange Hall roads, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, which assisted in the pursuit.

Police are searching the woods near Interstate 675 after a suspect fled from his vehicle on foot near Kemp and Grange Hall roads in Beavercreek.

The suspect led police on a pursuit through three counties, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol, which assisted in the pursuit.

According to the OSHP, the pursuit started in Clearcreek Township in Warren County.

OSHP dispatchers confirmed that Clearcreek officers initially tried to arrest the suspect on a traffic violation. However, the suspect drove off, swerving toward officers.

From there, the pursuit followed the suspect on a long route through Beavercreek, Riverside, Dayton, and back into Beavercreek before finally coming to a stop in a residential neighborhood near Kemp and Grange Hall roads.

OSHP dispatchers also confirmed that Beavercreek police were bringing a K9 unit to help find the suspect.
