UPDATE: Two victims sustain minor injuries during attempted armed robbery, suspect still at large

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE: @ 7:12 a.m.

Two victims arrived at Grandview Hospital after being shot by a single suspect attempting to steal a car from one of the victims at the Valero gas station, according to a press release by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office.

It was found that the suspect approached one of the victims in the parking lot and attempted to steal his car.

The second victim confronted the suspect and attempted to take the gun away. During the altercation, both victims were shot.

According to the MCSO, the suspect fled in an unknown direction in a Dodge Magnum which was dark grey or flat black in color. The victims were taken by a friend to the hospital in the victim’s vehicle. Both victims had minor injuries and have been released from the hospital.

The suspect is described as a black male with shoulder-length dread hair, wearing a white t-shirt, black sweatpants, and black shoes with burnt orange or red bottoms, he is heavily tattooed on both arms, hands, and fingers, according to the release.

MCSO also stated in the press release that the matter remains under investigation.

Police are investigating a report of a shooting at the Valero gas station at 2800 Philadelphia Drive in Dayton.

According to dispatch records, when police arrived at the gas station, the reported victim was no longer there.

In scanner traffic, police said that they were looking for a suspect vehicle.
