UPDATE @ 12:10 a.m. (April 30):
The driver who was ejected in a single-car crash Friday night was identified as 24-year-old Guilian Stegall of Middletown, according to Sgt. Dexter Howard of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Hamilton Post.
The crash happened sometime before 9 p.m. on South Main Street near 17th Avenue.
“What we have is a vehicle traveling northbound on Main Street at a very high rate of speed, traveling without headlights on. The vehicle lost control near 17th Avenue; he drove of the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail and the driver of the vehicle ejected at that time,” Howard said.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, the sergeant said.
Speed was a factor, he said, and it’s still under investigation whether drugs and alcohol are involved.
