Ohio Primary: State Rep. Antani wins State Senator Republican primary race

MIAMISBURG — State Representative Niraj Antani wins the Republican nomination in the State Senate primary to replace Peggy Lehner.

Rep. Antani won the three-way race with 64 percent of the vote against Rachel Selby and Greg Robinson.

He released a press release after he was declared the winner.

“Representing the community in which I was born and raised is an incredible honor,” said Antani. “I work hard every day at the Statehouse to make it achievable for all Ohioans to have the opportunity to make their American Dream a reality.”

He also brought attention to the current coronavirus pandemic.

“While I am happy to have won, this is not a time for celebration,” explained Antani. "During this economic and health crisis, as Ohioans have lost their lives, front-line healthcare workers like doctors face danger in treating patients, small businesses struggle to survive, and nearly one million have lost their job, I redouble my efforts in the Statehouse to help every Ohioan the best I can.”
