‘Hey handicap’ note stuns local amputee in parking spot dispute

The story of an amputee who received a rude note on her car is getting national attention.

Ashley Brady lost her right leg in a crash on Ohio 725 last year.

She says she worked with her apartment complex for months to get a handicap parking spot. And then, a neighbor parked there.

Brady says she left a note on that neighbor’s car.

And then found one of hers that left her stunned.

It reads: “Hey handicap, 1st never place your hands on my car again! 2nd Honey you ain’t the only one with ‘struggles.’ You want pity go to a one leg support group!

“You messed with the wrong one! I dont (sic) care about what your note said shove it, but you touch my car again and I will file a report, I am not playing! I let the office know if the cry baby one leg touches my property I will cause trouble. So go cry your struggles to someone who cares cause Im (sic) walking away Both mine!!!!!”

Since WHIO shared the story, the apartment complex has said police can tow any vehicles wrongly parked in the spot without giving 24 hours notice to move.

The story has also gone viral, with many national media outlets picking up the story.

Brady declined to share her neighbor’s identity, and says she hasn’t seen the woman since she found the note.
