A woman asked to see at ring at Anybody’s Pawn Shop at 1525 Wayne Ave. on Monday morning. When the clerk pulled the ring out of the case about 9:45 a.m., the woman grabbed the ring and ran.
Surveillance video should help identify the woman, according to the owner. The ring was gold with a cluster of little diamonds.
The clerk chased after and said the woman got into a silver vehicle, and provided police with the license plate number.
The thief who ran with it is described as a white woman, between 25 and 35 years old, about 200 lbs., and was wearing a red Buckeyes t-shirt and blue jeans.
According to the police report, the same vehicle was wanted in a theft in Miami Twp. over the weekend. Police are following up.
