EARLIER
It’s not the kind of smash you’d expect at Smashburger.
Police are investigating after someone shattered a large glass window at the restaurant by the Dayton Mall.
Officers responded to the break-in around 6 a.m.
They say whoever got inside turned on the grill. There’s no word yet on what the thief – or thieves – might have taken.
Miami Twp. police have not yet released any more information.
According to initial reports, Kettering police took a suspect into custody. They could not immediately be reached for comment this morning.
Police scanner traffic also indicates the suspect was driving a stolen car.
