N. Main Street reopens in Dayton after ‘suspicious device’ investigation

DAYTON — N. Main Street was temporarily closed in Dayton while crews investigated a suspicious device Monday evening.

North Main Street was closed in both directions between Riverdale Street and I-75 but has since reopened, according to a social media post from Dayton Police.

Crews were dispatched to the area shortly before 3:30 p.m.

News Center 7 crew on scene reported seeing the Dayton Bomb Squad responding to the area, but the scene has since cleared.
