2 women injured in two-vehicle crash in Darke County

GREENVILLE TWP. — Two women were taken to an area hospital Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Horatio Harris Creek Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Honda Odyssey struck a 2008 Pontiac G6 around 3:35 p.m. on U.S. 127. The Odyssey driver, 30-year-old Amanda Ruby of Greenville, attempted to pass on the right while the Pontiac, driven by Douglas Hufford, 28, of Greenville, was at the intersection turning east onto Horatio Harris Creek Road, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Ruby and her passenger, Jasmine Byrd, 28, of Eaton, were taken by Greenville Twp. Rescue to Wayne Health. Hufford and another passenger in the minivan declined treatment, deputies said.

The crash remains under investigation.
