MERCER COUNTY — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, dispatchers received a call at 1:47 p.m. of a crash that happened at 9155 US Route 127 in Hopewell Township.

The investigation revealed that 69-year-old Marjorie M. Gehm was at her mailbox and attempting to cross back West over US Route 127, when she was struck by a Southbound truck being driven by 22-year-old man.
Gehm was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver reported no injuries and received moderate damage to his truck.
The sheriff’s office says the crash remains under investigation at this time and will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
This is Mercer County’s second fatal crash in 2022.
