— Corn planting has continued to stall due to a rainy start to May.
In the last week, nearly no additional corn was planted as farmers averaged 0.6 days suitable for work in the fields.
Ohio has 2% of the corn crop planted thus far. This number falls well below the five-year average of 27% of the corn crop being planted by this point in time.
Only 1% of soybeans have been planted this year, falling well below the five-year average of the 9%.
Winter wheat remains in fair condition. However, the condition for this year is significantly lower than last year.
