Man arrested after overnight stabbing in Dayton

REPORT: Man who claimed he was stabbed shows up at Grandview ER

DAYTON — A person is in jail after a stabbing in Dayton.

Dayton Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Riverside Drive at 12:30 a.m. on reports of a stabbing, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said.

When officers got on scene, they found a 47-year-old man with “multiple stab wounds,” Lt. Steven Bauer said.

The person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital and is in non-life threatening condition.

The 31-year-old suspect was dropped off at a different hospital with a cut to his hand, Bauer said. He was treated, released and booked in the Montgomery County Jail.

The incident is under investigation.
