MIAMI VALLEY — As COVID numbers drop, local event organizers hope they get the chance to bring live entertainment to the Miami Valley.
After having to cancel their concerts last year, organizers are eager to get shows underway with the proper guidance from health officials.
“Public safety is paramount,” Lisa Wagner, Executive Director at Levitt Pavilion said. “So we want to make sure everyone is comfortable coming back.”
Levitt Pavilion is one of the area venues that have shows scheduled for later this year. Their concert season is set to start of June 12 with their first of 40 shows currently scheduled.
Wagner said that they are waiting to see if guidelines will be relaxed compared to the set they recently received that were dated from last summer. Until then, Wagner said they will continue to go off the guidelines they have and the those that they planned to implement last year.

“So capacity is limited to 1,500, masks, gridding of the lines, which was all part of our 2020 plan, and that is what they reiterated,’ Wagner said.
While it is too soon to tell what will come of the upcoming concert season, other local venues are planning to move forward with their scheduled shows this year.
The Rose Music Center in Huber Heights has rescheduled their shows from last year to this year, according to their website. Their season begins in May and is currently scheduled through September.
Concert Concert is currently scheduled to take place on July 8-10 with the majority of the artists scheduled for last year’s festival set to return.
Additionally, Stubbs Park Amphitheater in Centerville plans to, cautiously, move forward with their scheduled events beginning this summer.
