Car crashes into wall of Riverside Speedway

RIVERSIDE — UPDATE @ 4:45 a.m.:

A car struck the wall of the Speedway in Riverside early Thursday morning.

Shelbi Mullins, an employee, said she was inside the building when the vehicle first struck the building.

“I heard a thud and I ran outside,” she said. “I saw her getting ready to back up and she got caught.”

Mullins said Riverside Police arrested the driver of the car.

The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. at the Speedway on Valley Pike.

The crash did not cause extensive damage, but the wall to the gas station was cracked.

Mullins said the driver appeared to be drunk.
