Two dogs from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton will be competing in this year’s Puppy Bowl.
Juniper and Nugget will be cheerleaders for Team Fluff.
“This is a really neat thing for our organization, not only to have puppies on a national stage in a Puppy Bowl, but it also just brings attention to the needs of shelters,” said Brian Weltge, President & CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

Many animals in the Puppy Bowl will be from shelters across the country, according to Weltge.
“It’s just exciting to bring awareness, animal welfare and the needs for adoptions and the needs for homes for animals in shelters,” he told News Center 7.
The Puppy Bowl takes place Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. on Animal Planet.
