A 33-year-old Springfield woman is facing an attempted murder charge.
Tabitha D. Wooten, 1655 N. Belmont Ave., was indicted Tuesday on charges of attempted murder, felonious assault and having weapons under disability, according to Clark County Common Pleas Court records.
The indictment stems from an Oct. 2 incident in which Wooten is accused shooting Jeremy Frey in the chest, according to court records.
The shooting of Frey occurred about 9:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Warder Street after he had gone to buy crack cocaine, court records indicate. During the incident, according to court records, Frey was told he could not leave until he paid a prior debt.
Wooten put a semi-automatic handgun on Frey's chest and shot him, according to records.
A warrant was then issued against Wooten for felonious assault.
