A Sidney man was killed after he was involved in a crash with an SUV while riding his motorcycle, according to the Shelby County Sheriff Office.
Philip Brown, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was reported at the intersection Sidney Freyburg and Hoewisher roads around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday
A preliminary investigation revealed the SUV, driven by Linda Meininger, 73, of Sidney, was travelling north on Sidney Freyburg Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Hoewisher, the sheriff’s office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, Meininger failed to see Brown and turned into his path, resulting in a near head-on collision.
Meininger was not injured in the crash and the accident remains under investigation.
