PREBLE COUNTY — Two suspects have been charged with felony charges following a pursuit in Preble County.
Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson said that James Worley, 44 of Franklin, and Shannon Lamb, 33 of Franklin, were arrested after a short pursuit on March 25.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., a deputy checking a used car lot at State Route 122 and Greenbush Road observed a vehicle in a wooded area near the business. The vehicle fled east on Greenbush Road once the deputy began to approach.
The suspects stopped the vehicle near a ravine on Oxford Road in Montgomery County. The suspects then fled on foot into the wooded area.
A K-9 from Camden Police Department was called to the scene. A track was conducted and the suspects were found hiding in a wooded area.
A search of the vehicle was conducted. Ski masks, gloves, a car jack, jack stands, chain cutters and other tools were found. Deputies also located less than three grams of methamphetamine, syringes and drug paraphernalia.
Simpson said the Lamb admitted to traveling to Preble County to steal catalytic converters.
Worley was charged with Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of a Police Officer, Aggravated Possession of Drugs, Possessing Criminal Tools, Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments and Illegal use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Lamb was charged with Aggravated Possession of Drugs, Possessing Criminal Tools, Possession Drug Abuse Instruments, Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
