Sheriff’s office warns of fake websites claiming to sell dog, fishing licenses

MERCER COUNTY — Mercer County officials are warning residents to be aware of fake websites claiming to sell Ohio dog and fishing licenses.

The only two websites where residents can get valid dog licenses are www.mercercountyohio.org and www.doglicenses.us/OH/Mercer, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Both Sheriff [Jeff] Grey and Auditor [Randall] Grapner warn Mercer County consumers to be careful while shopping online,” the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook.
