Semi-truck loses its trailer on SR-29 in Shelby Co.

SHELBY COUNTY — A semi-truck’s trailer detached from its cabin while on a state Route in Shelby County early Wednesday morning.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation were dispatched to state Route 29 near Blanke Road at around 5 a.m. on reports of a semi-truck that lost its cargo, the county’s dispatch confirmed.

As deputies and clean up crews arrived near the scene, they shut down the entire route to clear the roadway of any debris and consolidate the detached trailer.

There were no reported injuries at the time of questioning.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office led the response to the road closure and clean up.
