Ohio 4 ramp to I-70 remains shut after semi tips over

UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m.

Emergency dispatcher say the ramp is actually still closed and will be closed until at least 7:30 p.m.

A tractor trailer hauling recycled paper ended up on its side following a crash on the southbound Ohio 4 ramp to eastbound Interstate 70 Friday.

Police and fire crews responded to a report of an overturned semi on the ramp in Huber Heights around 2 p.m. Friday.

Huber Heights police Sgt. William Garlow said the semi ended up on its side along the retaining wall, but the driver was able to climb out of the cab. The driver was transported to Soin Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Garlow said officers are still investigating the cause of the crash, but are looking to see if excess speed or a shifting load were the cause.

Police anticipated the ramp would be open by 4:30 p.m.
