Dayton company Sogeti USA, LLC is being accused of overbilling the government by 100 hours for a 24-week contract. The company has already taken steps to rectify the error.
According to an investigative report released Tuesday by the Ohio Inspector General, inaccurate timekeeping records were submitted by the company to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Sogeti was hired to implement an online aviation registration system under a $569,000, 24-week contract with the ODOT Office of Flight Operations.
In response to the investigation, Sogeti officials immediately removed four workers on the project and began a review of employee time-reporting requirements, the Office of Inspector General reported.
To remedy the discrepancy, Sogeti sent a letter to ODOT agreeing to discipline the employees involved, re-adjust the billing, and reduce the contract cost by $15,000.
