A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning after he fled from police who saw him towing luggage from his bicycle, according to a police incident report.
When Dustin Thompson saw the officers, he tried to flee but they followed him to a house in the 30 block of South McGee Street where he ran inside.

Police were able to make entry after the homeowner came outside, stating he didn’t know Thompson, the report stated. They then kicked in an upstairs bedroom door and took him into custody.
After a search, police found a knife, 4.75 grams of meth and a scale, but nothing suspicious was in the luggage he was towing.

Thompson was arrested and charged for obstructing official business, a parole violation, and detainer from another county. He was also cited for a bicycle towing violation and for not having the proper reflectors on his bicycle.
