DAYTON — Seniors in several parts of Dayton received renovations and home repairs courtesy of “Rebuilding Together Dayton.”
The non-profit worked to make homes more handicapped accessible with wheelchair ramps, new floors and fences.
Rebuilding Together Dayton Chief Executive Officer Amy Radachi said that while Saturday was official rebuilding day, the organization does work year-round.

“National rebuilding day takes place on the last Saturday of every year but we work year-round through the Montgomery county with low-income seniors to allow them to age in place,” Radachi said.
She said they worked on over 150 houses in 2021.
Five houses were repaired the weekend and players from the University of Dayton football team even stopped by to lend a hand.
