Several American Airline flights departing from and arriving to Dayton International Airport are delayed due to PSA Airlines aircraft being grounded.
According to a statement released Thursday, American Airlines said that most of its PSA Airlines fleet is grounded out of precaution. The airline is working to rebook flights while it works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to carry out inspections related to maintenance issues, according to the statement.
PSA is a regional airline headquartered in Dayton, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group.
“Out of an abundance of caution, PSA Airlines has temporarily removed most of its aircraft from service in order to complete a necessary, standard inspection on the nose gear door. We are working with PSA and the FAA to immediately address the issue,” an AA spokesperson said.
Most of our aircraft have temporarily been removed from service to complete a standard inspection. We’re working to resolve the issue and sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.
