Detectives were seen along Niagra Avenue looking for Deniro Barker, who is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that happened on Patterson Road in March. Officers were on the block more than once.
A drone, a police K9, and a SWAT team all focused on one home and one man.
Dayton police showed up to the neighborhood less than 24 hours after News Center 7 reported officers filed formal murder and felonious assault charges against Barker in Dayton Municipal Court. Officers also got an arrest warrant.
At one point, police went into the home but came out empty-handed and left.
News Center 7 saw several plain-clothed officers packing up their cars and leaving again with no sign of Barker.
A neighbor told News Center 7 that officers were focused on a different home than the one they were on Wednesday morning. She said detectives told her they were searching for a murder suspect and showed them a picture of the man they were looking for.
Barker is facing charges in connection with a shooting at Partners Bar on Patterson Road in March.
As News Center 7 previously reported, medics took 28-year-old Aaron Tigner to a local hospital where he died.
We will continue updating this story.
