1 of 2 vehicles in West Milton crash ends up on its side

UPDATE @ 6:20 p.m.: No injuries were reported from the crash that left one of the two vehicles involved on its side and its driver trapped for several minutes.

The investigation into the accident continues, but it involved an SUV and a pickup truck. The SUV hit a telephone pole, which broke apart and came to rest partially on top of the SUV.

The driver from the SUV tells us she was trapped inside for about 15 minutes before police and fire crews were able to get them out of the wreckage.

West Market and Stillwater streets where the accident occurred, as well as South Jay Road that connects with both those roadways, were shut down at least two hours because of the accident.

INITIAL REPORT

Police and medic crews have been dispatched to a two-vehicle accident, with one on its side and the other that hit a pole, in West Milton.

The accident at West Market and Stillwater streets was dispatched about 4:35 p.m.

Traffic on South Jay Road, coming northeast into West Milton, is being blocked because of the accident.
