No threat found after police, bomb squad investigate suspicious bag left outside West Milton bowling alley

WEST MILTON — State Route 48 has reopened after being closed for some time Thursday night as police and the bomb squad investigated a suspicious bag left outside of Miami Lanes West Milton bowling alley, the owner confirms.

Crews on scene told News Center 7 that at approximately 9:00 p.m. a man dropped a suspicious bag off at Miami Lanes West Milton.

Upon arrival, West Milton Police called in the Dayton Bomb Squad to investigate the bag.

An investigation revealed that the bag contained a bowling ball and bowling equipment.

The bowling alley’s owner told News Center 7 that a man was seen roaming about the building and dropped off a bag and left.

There is no threat to the area at this time.
