DAYTON — A security guard accidentally shot himself at a nightclub in Dayton late Friday night, according to Dayton Police Sergeant Jared King.

Dayton police officers were flagged down at 452 E. Third Street, which is The Reserve on Third nightclub, on reports of a person shot around 11:36 p.m.

King said officers found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
The man was a security guard at the nightclub, King added.
Investigators determined that the shooting was accidental and the man was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
As previously reported, two people were shot during a confrontation with security at this bar in August 2025.
