DAYTON — At least two people were hurt after a shooting in Dayton Thursday.

First responders were called to the 4900 block of Becker Avenue around 4:25 p.m., according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.
“I aint never seen nothing like that in my life. I’m up here shaking,” a 911 caller told dispatchers.

The woman told dispatchers the gunfire was just doors down from her.
“When officers got to the scene, they located a large scene with multiple shots that had been fired,” Lt. Randy Beane with the Dayton Police Department said.
After the gunfire, Beane said several people took off.
“They attempted a traffic stop, and several people fled on foot, including a suspect with a firearm,” he said.
Officers arrested three people a couple blocks over on Maya Avenue.
They also brought in a K-9 unit to help search for evidence.
“They were used to try and track down the suspects we hadn’t captured yet or any evidence that they had discarded during the foot chase,” Beane said.
Two people showed up at Miami Valley with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
