DAYTON — A 23-year-old man who was the passenger in a car has been identified as the victim killed in a head-on crash on Old Troy Pike in Dayton last week.

Taimullah Usengimana, of Dayton, died from multiple blunt force injuries and his death was rule an accident, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.
Usengimana was the passenger in a Ford Fusion that crashed head-on with Buick SUV on Old Troy Pike near Southshore Drive April 16. Usengimana was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police crash report.
An initial investigation found the car was traveling north on Old Troy Pike at a high rate of speed and was passing cars on the left side of a double-yellow line before it crashed head-on into the SUV, according to the crash report.
The driver of the car, identified in the crash report as Ngabo Ushindi, 21, of Dayton, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital after the crash with serious injuries.
The SUV’s driver, Carol Gipson, 63, of Huber Heights, was also taken to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries, according to the crash report.
It is not known if Ushindi will be facing any charges or citations in the incident.
