MIAMI TWP. — Miami Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding suspects who they said ran from them.
The police department said they were called to reports of a suspicious car occupied by several people checking car doors to see if they were unlocked.
When officers arrived the suspicious car drove away.
The car was later located and a traffic stop was attempted, but the car did not stop and drove until it reached a dead end, according to police.
Police said five people got out of the car and ran into a heavily wooded area.
A drone was deployed to search for the suspects but was unable to locate them.
After searching the suspect’s car officers found several items suspected to be stolen from previous thefts.
