DP&L outage in Greene County traced to downed wire in Fairborn

UPDATE @ 8:30 p.m.: An event in the Fairborn area has resulted in a downed wire on Dayton Drive, a DP&L official said.

Those customers affected have been without service about 90 minutes. DP&L crews are on scene and service is expected to be restored within the hour, the official said.

About 8:40 p.m., the number of reported outages in the county were 521, down from the 1,490 reported just a half-hour before.

We're working to learn the reason why an estimated 1,490 Dayton Power & Light customers in Greene County are without power.
